We had a nice relaxing week of work, LOL! At the Laura S. Walker State Park in southern Georgia, It got below freezing a couple of times overnight while we were there. Our pipes didn’t freeze or anything though, we were fine.
Morning View at Laura S. Walker State Park
There were lots of trails to go hiking and biking on right from our campsite. We got tons and tons of miles in!
So thankful I brought 1 pair of leg warmers!
A rare moment with Miss Riggy and no other campers around!
If you look closely, you can see Miss Riggy on the other side of the lake in the bike picture. We biked all around the lake, it was too cold to see any alligators.
This state park is really amazing. It sits at the northern edge of the captivating Okefenokee Swamp.
The only wildlife I saw was a kissing bug! I don’t remember seeing one of these since I was a kid. Eh, we did see a few blue herons, but I didn’t snap any photos of them!
From here we head to Florida. Our plan is to be in the Keys for just a few days, but I have an account with this website that notifies me if there are any cancellations. I am hoping to spend more time down there and that there are cancellations at either John Pennekamp, Bahia Honda or Curry Hammock State Parks.
Happy trails everyone!
